Small Successes Thursday, July 29th

It’s important for moms  everyone to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

1. Earlier in the week, when a storm was threatening, I actually remembered to go out and take the diapers off the clothesline. Of course, this caused the rain to pass us by…but still. If it HAD rained, the diapers were safe inside!

2. I actually remembered to pray for someone I’d said I would pray for. Too many times I offer the “I’ll pray for you!” then forget when prayer time comes around. But I’ve been really making an effort to remember individual intentions so that was a step in the right direction.

3. I finally put up the post about the whale cake. Yum!

What were your small successes this week?

***Special Note: Please pray for Melanie Pritchard, who nearly died while giving birth to her second child yesterday. She is in stable but still critical condition. Read more here.

  1. thank you for the reminder to stop and pray for those who you say you will pray for. When I do my prayers at night (the only time it seems quiet in my home) I sometime forget - perhaps write a note in my iPod (I use that to help me pray the Rosary)

  2. Yes, Tori, I've done that many times myself- offer prayer and forget. Lately what I've done is say, "Lord, I pray for everyone I forgot I told I would pray for" during our family Rosary.

  4. #2 is so hard at times, isn't it? I try to do like Mary said above & add a footnote to my prayers for any I've forgotten. God knows our hearts & minds!

The whale cake is awesome! Great job!
