Small Successes Thursday, August 19th

small_successes_badge-300x232It’s important for moms everyone to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

1. We’ve kept up with the clutter in our house this week. Is it perfect? Nope. But at least I wouldn’t be ashamed if an unexpected visitor showed up.

2. I made some new diaper inserts for our pocket diapers. It was really easy and fast. It would have been even faster without the interruptions to change poopy diapers and clean up spilled milk. I’ll have to post a tutorial on it sometime.

3. I played Play-Doh with Veronica yesterday. I was a little nervous about busting it out, because I know it can be a huge mess. But I had seen a tip somewhere to use cookie sheets to play on, and it kept everything contained nicely. We even managed to keep the colors (mostly) separate! It was fun, even more so because I knew Veronica really had a good time.

What were your small successes this week?

  1. You had a very successful week! Play dough is messy and I totally get not wanting it out. But, sometimes we need to put our ocd aside for the happiness of our children! Good for you for making it work out well!!

  2. Ahhh, the play-doh smell. Good stuff.

Being able to open your door shame-free? Big success!

  3. I love Play-doh. I am blessed enough to get to play at least once a week during Courtney's therapy. It brings me back to childhood so quickly. So glad you found a way to enjoy it with your children.
    Have a lovely weekend!

  4. Keeping up with clutter? Huge!

Please do post the tutorial sometime. If we are ever blessed with children I know I want to go the cloth diaper route and I'm bookmarking resources now :).
